Soccer Minis is for children aged four or in Reception/school years 1 or 2. It offers football coaching for the youngest players in two age groups. Each session includes skills coaching, fun games to reinforce and practise the coaching points and small-sided games to give players a basic understanding of the rules of football and to develop their spatial awareness.
Soccer Kids is for children in school years 3, 4, 5 and 6. Again coaching is split into two age groups, providing progression from Soccer Minis. Each session starts with a ball mastery warm up, enabling children to re-visit and practise basic football skills, refine techniques and build confidence. Small-sided games help the children to develop and practise team skills such as team shape and decision making.
Skills School is for secondary school players that wish to receive further coaching on ways to be skilful with the ball at their feet. The Skills School is new for 2010 and is proving to be a popular session for players that have progressed through the Soccer Kids programme.
