TRIALS PAST

Aged 16+ and want to play for Watford Ladies FC? Senior trials are currently taking place, with a large turnout for the first two sessions.

Didn’t attend either of those? Don’t worry, there’s still one more chance to showcase your talents this Wednesday. All the information that you’ll need is below

The trials will enable players to compete for a place in one of our senior teams:

Watford LFC (1st Team)

Our First Team currently competes in the FA Women’s Super League 2 and have been grouped in the FA WSL Continental Cup against the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea. Our Ladies 1st Team finished Runners Up in the FA Women’s Premier League in 2013 before finishing 7th in our first ever FA WSL season in 2014.

Watford LFC Development Team

Our Development Team compete in the FA Women’s Super League - Development League Southern Division. Our Development Team train with our First Team and we have an excellent track record of promoting players from this team into our First Team. The Development Team offers a fantastic next step for players progressing from local FA Girls' Centres of Excellence, or those looking to test themselves at a higher level.

Watford LFC U19s

Our U19’s are a Development Team who currently compete in the Greater London Women’s Football League and this team is designed to offer young players the opportunity to further their development to help progress them towards FA WSL football. In its first two years, we have already seen the success of the team, both with strong league and cup form, but primarily through the progression of several players into our Development and First Team.

Open Trial Details

Dates: Tuesday 19th May (7-9pm), Wednesday 20th May (6.30-8pm) & Wednesday 27th May (6.30-8pm)

Venue: Parmiter’s Sports Centre, High Elms Lane, Watford, WD25 0UU.

Age Group: Senior (age 16+)

Trials may take place on grass or astro so please come prepared for both. The trials will involve game specific training and matches so please wear shin pads throughout.

A further ‘invitation only’ trial will follow the open trials and successful players will be informed of this after the 27th May. The invitation only trial will take place on Wednesday 3rd June.

Players are encouraged to attend all sessions to have the best possible chance of being selected to play for Watford LFC.
