College Football Academy Programme in association with Chelsea FC Foundation
Maximum 20 places available subject to trial/selection and academic grades
Chelsea FC Foundation have once again joined up with Strode’s College and Matthew Arnold School to offer
an exciting Football Academy College Programme for talented enthusiastic players in the local area. The
specially designed programme combines academic studies with a professional training programme delivered
by FA qualified Chelsea staff.
All players will be selected for the two-year course and have the opportunity
to develop their abilities and knowledge throughout the annual programme that competes in the BCS Elite
on a weekly basis. Based at Matthew Arnold School students will also have access to Chelsea’s state-of-theart
training ground as the home match venue. Players will follow a strict code of conduct whilst training and
playing in Chelsea official kit.
ADDITIONAL ASPECTS TO THE PROGRAMME
Coaching Qualifications: FA Level 1 - Safeguarding Children and emergency aid included
FA Level 2 - Optional but subject to level of development in year 2
Work Experience: All year 2 students will have the option to gain voluntary coaching in the local community
Open Day/Trials will be held at Chelsea FC Training Ground & Matthew

Thursday 14.00 - 16.00 Strength & Conditioning - Light Recovery
Friday 09.00 - 11.00 Technical Session & Goalkeeping
Specially trained staff will also be offered throughout the training schedule as below:
• Goal Keeping Specific session • SAQ & Strength and Conditioning
• Diet & Nutrition & lifestyle education • Physio support at set times
