Mil Palmeras Benjamin's won 7-2 against San Miguel today. With a strong start from the home team, San Miguel where under pressure with Ben Naylor putting Luke Naylor in for the first goal early on. The next 15 minutes were a bit of a stalemate with both side working hard. Bailey Tomlinson, time and again stopped his player who was literally twice his size.

San Miguel got the next goal before Ben Naylor took a quick free kick put Luca in for a well taken goal ...to make it 2-1 at half time. Diego Sheffield promoted to the older age group got stuck in challenging for the ball. Four goals in 7 minutes shows how deadly we can be in front of goal. Ben got his first with a lovely run down the line to beat the keeper near post, followed by a penalty, header and a throw. Luca Webb then completed his third hatrick latching on to a through ball and finishing both shots far post. San Miguel got a goal late on, but fitness was key. Oliver Godden got player of the match for allround hard work . Great match against a strong and big side proving again we can more than compete. Well done to everyone.

Valencian Region Football Club Mil Palmeras got another very good win on a wet sandy pitch. This game was won from the back with some lovely flowing football which resulted in Mil Palmeras quickly taking a 3 goal lead through three excellent free kicks by Ben Nayor, the home team briefly fought back to score a goal.

Half Time 1-3. Tactical change at half time saw Alfred Emmet resume his normal position on the left, with AJ moving into the strikers role, a further 5 goals were scored through Alfred Emmet 2, David Milton Stamm, AJ, and another goal from player of the Match Ben Naylor. This was truly an excellent performance by all, with some good defending from Captain Diego Sheffield, Tiandra Anderson and Paulo Webb holding the back line with William Clayton dictating things from central midfield, Great result well done to all at Tony's Soccer School.

Perfect football start from Mil Palmeras FC, with Real Murcia Academy Player Rico Finnas scoring two great goals coming in from the left hand side. Jake Scott hit the perfect Free Kick again for Rico to grab his Hatrick on the re-bound. La Aparacida scored two goals, probably against the run of play and Mil Palmeras under 12's deserved the 3-2 lead at the half time whistle. More Attacking play was on show at Pilar De La Horadada with Harvey Wilkinson in one of his best performances of 2012 grabbing a header. Kai Pickford scored only to celebrate in style for his dad's birthday. Rico then added the 6th goal. Alevin A debutant Morgan Earl enjoyed a positive performance, with Jamie Macdonald in goal. Luke Naylor continued his development, and Sam Halliday shot somehow ran along the line, and Lewis Long grabbed Player Of The Match after hitting the bar from range.

Kevin Ruiz the lively attacker worked hard, Orland Breeze in goal certainly held his own. Alfred Emmet showed everyone how his football maturity has grown so much in 2012, with a team performance. Niomi Sheffield continued her confident runs down the wing, and Taylor Hirst grabbed yet another goal. David Milton Stamm scored in the second half, and had 2 glourious free kicks which missed there desired targets. Manager Scott Bradley probably deserved the win, based on chances but great contributions all round sealed the point. Well Done to all for everyones hard work and thank you to the parents and large crowd.

    San Miguel Alevin A 10 v 2 Mil Palmeras B

Playing on a difficault pitch against the Top side in the league was always going to be Tough and so it was. A challenging referee, see a Mil Palmeras dissallowed well worked Goal ... from great passing and movement between Player of the Match Emily Kelly and new signing Rhys Gill cooly finished by the ever improving Connor Hirst. This came near the end of the first half with the team battling to create chances for Strikers TJ Brook, and benjamin Oliver Chapman after conceding a couple of goals. The home side were pegged back early in the second half by some stead fast defending from Paige Pickford and Mr Dependable George Johnson, pushing hard with live wire Cai Harding creating a couple of good chances. Two own goals in succession from San Miguel through Goalkeeping scrambles was just reward for the amount of pressure that Mil Palmeras B team created. The match finished as it started after Lucy Daly had bravely raced out to block a shot only to be fouled. The team has heart and is on the verge of getting the results and reward for the players hard work and never say die determination.
