Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : I started out as a striker and seemed to have a very bright future in that position, when playin for worcester city u13s i was top league scorer. In my next season i was diagnosed with asthma, and my manager just never gave me the time of day so i was forced to leave. I then took a year out to get my asthma under control, to come back and prove myself and everyone that it no longer affects me and is under control. I started back at football with a small team to get myself back into football. Two seasons later me and three of my friends trialled for walsall fc develop ment. And the coach spoke to me and told me he wants me to left back. During that season i played left back in the jpl league and had many comments of how good i am but also only being played in this position for the first time. I was then a season later given the chance to prove myself at southampton academy in bath. And was said no to on the first trial day. I wasnt given a reason why i didnt make it, i wasnt given any feedback how i could improve even though it was promised. I was devistated when i found out becuase i knew that there was nothing more i could have done because i put absolutly everything in.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : Im quite a small agile play with bags of speed in the 100m i clocked 11.6. Im a very loud player and i influence the game as much as possible being in the position im in. Im very confident on the ball and not affraid to have it in tight areas when under pressure, im also a very consistent player and very rearly have a bad game. Being a small player, a disadvantage that springs to mind is having a small jump, i have worked on this and became very good in the air. As one of the defensive line i take control and make sure that everyone is in sync and in the right places when attacking and defending. Another good triat is that i keep the moral of the team high as possible and constantly talking. Also previously being a forward i have that attacking mentallity to get as far up the pitch to influence in that area of the game. Now being a left back i can see the whole pitch and can see where we can get the extra advantage in such areas where the ball can be fed.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I think an academy director should give me a trail beacuse im a lad that has never been given an opportunity to show what im made of. I work from the first whistle to the last 100%. I just want to play the game i know and love, I have a passion for football and its what i want to be playing full time but i have just never been given that opportunity or that chance to prove myself, and to have that chance and be given a trial would mean everything to me.
