Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : I started playing football since the age of 6. I played for my school football team from primary school to secondary school. After I have come to England to continue my education, I still play for my school team (Uppingham School). Last year I was selected as the captain of the school U16 A team and this really motivated me to become a professional footballer as I believed I have the ability to. And this year I have been playing for the school 1st team consistently.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : My best position is attacking midfield or central midfield. I believe that I have the vision that many people dont have, and this has made me stand out from the others. Also, playing futsal when I was young has really improved my skill set. It helps me developing my ball control and the ability to take players on. Therefore apart from attacking mifield, my skill set has allowed me to be able to play in different positions such as on the wing where I can use my 1 v 1 skills most.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : Becoming a professional player is my dream. Many people say that if you have a dream, you either forget about it or you absolutely fight for it until you reach it. And fighting for it is what I am doing. I work hard every day, working on both my physical side and my technical side. Everyone knows that english football is very competitive and physical. I admit that being at 165cm has probably given myself a disadvantage. But while I can't really do much about it, instead of blaming on my genes etc, I work hard so that I can compete with the others physically while also having the advantage of having low central gravity which means I can turn and change direction more quickly etc. Another thing that motivates me a lot is the fact that I come from Hong Kong and at this moment there has not been a football player played in the premier league who is from Hong Kong. Although I have no one to look up to, I set this as my target - to be the first Hong Kong football player to play in the premier league. This is my objective and I am going to work hard until I get it. A trial is what means the most to me right now. A trial will be a great opportunity to show what I have got to people. If I am told that I am not good enough, fair enough. However a chance is what I need right now and I will prove to any clubs who offer me a trial that I am good enough and I will much appreciate the chance and will work very hard for the club. As I have been studying in UK for 3 years now, English is not a problem for me at all. I can speak English fluently. Hopefully this is an advantage for clubs to try on me. Thank you very much.
