I am looking to become a professional football coach and wish to climb the ladder as high as I can and firmly believe the sky is the limit, many people may feel this is an unrealistic target but I believe with the skills and knowledge I am looking to obtain this is a very achievable goal, I strongly feel that all I need is to be given the chance to make this happen, and I sincerely hope that you can see the potential that I know I have and can give me this opportunity to display what I am capable of. I am extremely passionate about my career and the sport, and I am looking forward to bringing the knowledge, the skills and my passion to every role I am lucky to hold. PREVIOUS AND CURRENT COACHING EXPERIENCE • Sep 2012 – May 2013 Arsenal Soccer School Morocco, Coach, Goalkeeping Coach My role with Arsenal was providing coaching sessions to players between the ages of 5 & 18 years old. With this span of age range obviously come’s mixed abilities; however I was also responsible for preparing the higher quality players for major international tournaments. This involved coming up with advanced youth training schedules in order to prepare the teams for the tournaments. I was also responsible for managing different age groups for local competitions, this meant that match day preparation was entirely my responsibility. I was also the only goalkeeping coach in the setup and started a goalkeepers program from scratch as there was no focus for goalkeepers before this. In this role I have been privileged enough to work with two UEFA A licensed coach’s both ex-professionals as well as a very highly educated Moroccan coach who has worked for French Ligue 1 teams and have been fortunate to learn a lot from these people. • Feb 2011 – August 2012 Fulham Football Club Foundation, Head Football Coach The role I had with Fulham F.C. was based within their community sports programme; my responsibilities included attending after school clubs and providing an enjoyable and informative coaching session for a variety of age groups ranging from four years old through to thirteen. The coaching varied from football specific training sessions to multi skill activities teaching basic fundamental movements like balance and coordination. I also coached a Saturday morning club and out of term time coaching on football courses which ran all day throughout the space of a week or sometimes two, this provided a different challenge as I had to plan a session which progresses throughout the day. • June 2010 – July 2012 PFFC Men’s Team, Sussex Sunday League, Reserve Team Manager Being the manger of a men’s team has provided me with a different challenge then that of coaching youth players. Alongside the first team manger I planned sessions that are progressive and provide a challenge for the players whilst still being relevant to the problems that we faced on match day situations. As I was coaching an adult’s team I also needed to be considerate of tactical coaching towards formation, set pieces and team mentality which will be used on match days, this was solely my responsibility, and being the manager I needed to lay out formations, team selection and tactics. • June 2010 – July 2012 Ashington Cougars F.C., Coach Development Officer (F.A. Charter Development Club) I first joined Ashington Cougars as the under 14’s assistant manager, this involved, but was not limited to planning and providing training sessions which was a responsibility shared with the manager and liaising with players and parents about issues ranging from player problems to logistical issues for away games. After my first season in this role I was asked if I would be interested in becoming the Coach development Officer at the club. My responsibilities then included liaising with the coaches from all the age groups attending their training sessions and giving feedback on their coaching, advising of different approaches they could take and observing and applying their positive techniques to the other age groups. • Dec 2010 – Apr 2011 Chipstead Village F.C., Hassocks Ladies F.C. & Broadbridge Heath F.C. All of these clubs took me on as a temporary coach within their teams. I was looking to train to gain some more experience at a higher calibre club after passing my level 2 qualification as I felt this may hold me in good stead for when I came to do my UEFA B. I was also fortunate enough at this time to be brought into the fold at a women’s club, this giving me a new experience as I hadn’t coached females until that point. • Sep 2009 – May 2010 Worth Park Rangers U9’s (Now Crawley United), Assistant Manager (F.A. Charter Standard Club) QUALIFICATIONS & COURSES COMPLETED • Aug 2012 - F.A. Safegaurding Children Workshop • Mar 2011 - Age Appropriate Coaching – Introductory Module • Jan 2011 - F.A. Level 2 Certificate In Coaching Football REFEREES References are available upon request.
