Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : i was scouted by Alex Gibson for Manchester city whilst playing in the annual Umbro Tournament for my junior team called Sale Juniors when i was 14, where i played till 16 then joined Oldham Athletic after being offered a 2 year YTS. After narrowly missing out on a pro contract due to managerial changes i then signed for Stalybridge Celtic in the conference North which was a great experience as i was testing myself against seasoned pro's and younger players, many of whom are now playing in the football league. I then recieved an offer to play in Cyprus in the 3rd division and after plenty of deliberation i accepted the chance to go abroard and try my luck there. After an impressive season personally i planned to stay and maybe sign for a higher team but due to the country's financial meltdown it just wasnt possible so i came home looking for another opportunity here.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : I've always rated Rio Ferdinand and John Terry as my favourite english centre halves and always tried to take components from their games and implement them into mine. I'm tall, strong, solid in the air, not afraid to stick a foot in, possess a bit of pace and also like to get it down and play where possible. Leadership has always been one of my strong points in all walks of life but also on the pitch and i like to rally my teammates. Over the years i have worked on my weaknessess and improved my left foot and footwork i.e plyometrics and quick feet etc.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : Because im not a dreamer, i have had a taste of pro football and im so eager to get back on the ladder. I would cost next to nothing for any club to take on and i believe i have all the attributes to make it at the highest level possible. Im fully aware that it takes sacrifice, dedication and commitment to realise my aspirations and i am fully prepared to do whatever it takes to succeed.There is a huge shortage of quality centre halves in and around England, but given my potential i truly believe that with the right coaching and footballing environment that i could become a very acclomplished player.
