Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : I started playing football from the early age of 6 when I used to play in goal for my local team in Doncaster called Edlington White Stars. I played for them for a few years, during that time I got offered a trial in goal at Leeds. After moving houses, I then joined my local team called Woodhall Spa, where I played from the age of 11 to 12. I then joined Boston United that following year after a successful open trial that I attended. In then had to leave the club after a year due to family and transport issues. A year or so passed on and I then stared college at Boston in which one of the lecturers asked me to play for their Saturdays men's team, which is where I currently still play today. During the season that has just finished (13/14) I was asked to attend a National Final for a chance to win a place in the Nike Academy. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be that day but learnt and took a lot away from the day and still see/ speak to the former head coach due to my brother being a academy player at Nottingham Forest.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : One of my abilities is my speed whilst running with the ball. As a left back I am fully able to assist with attacks and quickly get back once play gets broken down. Another one of my abilities is my strengths, for a height of only 5"8 I am strong on and off the ball, this is essential for defending against players that you would expect to be bigger sand physically stronger. My best ability is the execution of long balls through and over the top of midfielders / defenders.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : An academy director should pick me as I am fully determined to improve with every training session and game. But some importantly I love the game and enjoy my football and when I'm enjoying my football I play to my best. I know the sacrifices that I have to take and I am more than willing to do that if the club put their trust into me.
