Tell us about your football history (Min 50 words) : I started playing football as a child, initially as a goalkeeper. As i grew older, my techique grew too. This meant that i could start playing outfield. I started playing at centrback until my team mates and i realised my ability on the ball was wasted at centreback. I then started playing in central midfield though my ability was hindered by my lack of stamina. I then was moved to a striker, where i displayed a nack for being in the right place at the right time. However i now play in attacking midfield, just behind the striker, as it is here i feel i am most useful, both with my indivdual talent and my ability to bring others into the game.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : As previously mentioned, i have always had a higher technical ability then the players around me, and have enjoyed being a 'medium sized fish in a small pond'. I feel my two greatest assets are my dribbling ability and my long passing. However i also feel that i am a strong footballer, and can be quite difficult to deal with due to my pace. Finally i take pride in my set piece ability, and consider myself a freekick specialist.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I think academy directors should consider me for trial, as i have spent my whole life trying to achieve my dream of becoming a proffessional footballer. My passion for football has led me to study football to depths that i am sure most proffessional footballers take for granted - an example of this can be seen with my extended project qualification (a dissertation type piece) on why arsenal have not won a trophy in the last seven years. Furthermore, my ability in football i feel is of a greater standard then a lot of footballers playing in the top leagues accross europe. I feel i would make a great addition to any team willing to take the risk of offering me a trial, and i can promise it will not be a waste of time.
