Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : At Gillingham football club from the age of 9-18. Got a 4 year contract at u12-u16 then a 2 year scholarship. I started my football career at the age of 6 and played for Whitstable Town FC from here I got asked to attend a football trial at Gillingham FC. I got accepted at Gillingham FC and each year had my contract renewed up to the age of 12 and at the age of 12 was offered a 4 year contract taking me to 16. At 16 I was offered a youth academy place, where I was captain for 2 years. Released at 18. Spent a year at Maidstone United FC where we went on to win 4 trophies. I played mens football for whitstable town as 1st choice centre back. had a 3 week trial at Nike academy at loughborough university in feb 2013.at present I am playing for maidstone under 19/21's.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : I am a 6ft2" strong ball playing centre half. I am predominantly right footed but I also use my left foot. I like playing out from the back and receieving the ball anywhere on the pitch. I can also play just in front of the midfield because I love running forward with the ball and getting forward and linking up with the forwards. I am strong in the air and with the ball at my feet. I put my body on the line for whoever I'm playing for and defend at all times. I have also scored a lot of goals from set plays and open plays as an attacking and defensive minded centre back/centre midfielder. I am calm and composed in any position with or without the ball. I'm comfortable playing long balls behind their defence with quality and I'm quick in a foot race with a striker.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I feel like I have a lot to offer to any club and I would really like a great coach to develop me into a top centre back/ holding midfielder. My passion for the game is perfect and I train as I play and all I want to do is learn and improve my game. After turning down a few university offers, my dream would be to be playing for any professional first team and proving myself.
