Write about your Playing Ability : His main attributes are: 1. He can play equally effectively with either foot. 2. His dribbling skills are excellent 3. Has an eye for where he is on the pitch relative to the rest of his team 4. Has excellent ball distribution vision and ability. 5. He is very fast with an extremely explosive start. His chief coach, an ex professional football player himself currently uses him as the player behind the centre forward because of his ability to work his way through either from the centre or from either wing. Phaedon currently trains 3 times a week and plays a match on Saturdays. Further to his football training he goes to a football-oriented gym and has physiotherapy twice a week in which he does stretching, sprint bursts, balance, speed/strength and many other exercises. He is 1.46m tall and weighs 38kgs He is a dedicated , serious and highly intelligent boy. His academic work is excellent. Phaedon's football pedigree stems from his uncle (an Italian since Phaedon's grandmother is Italian) who was one of the first foreign football players to play in Cyprus and me his father who when I was at boarding school in the late seventies (Aldenham School in Hertfordshire, England) I was asked when I was 15 years old to have trials/join the Arsenal football academy - a fact that my late father did not quite agree to! Phaedon is very keen to pursue a career in football and we are willing to travel to England at your request. Why should an Academy Director give you a trial : Phaedon is a natural athlete. Until last year he played football and tennis. In tennis he was recognised and considered as one of the major talents for his age group, being in the top 3 and having won many trophies and medals. However his love of football led him to to give up tennis as the strain of too much training was becoming too burdening both mentally and physically. The push to give up one of the disciplines came primarily from his football coaches who see Phaedon as the biggest talent to have been through his current football academy Campus Sportivo in Limassol, Cyprus
