Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : I have been selected for all IFA Excellence programs. I played for Northern Ireland in a European tournament which was held in Malta. I played against Greece, Cyprus and Malta in this tournament. I have received an official international cap for the Northern Ireland schoolboys. I played in the European tournament called the "San Marino cup" with Linfield FC. We managed to reach the final of this tournament after beating Nottingham Forrest in the quarter final, and then going on to beat Malmo from Sweden in the semis. I also captained my old boys club Crumlin colts FC to win many leagues and the northern Ireland cup. I currently attend the only full-time football academy in Northern Ireland which I train 5 days a week, not including extra training I do throughout the week with my club.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : I play to a very high and competitive level, as I have competed at international level for my country and played in many top European club level tournaments. One of strengths would be that I have great speed and acceleration which enables me to travel well with the ball at my feet taking on and beating players. It also allows me to provide a lot of cover for centre backs as I have the pace to make recovery runs and my high fitness levels enables me to do this for the full 90 mins of a game. I also have the ability to find the front man with pinpoint crosses. I am also good at making tackles on attacking players as the last line of defence against the opposition as I have great timing and read the game well. Also I am good at maintaining the defensive posture.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I believe I have the potentisal to play at a higher level than the Irish league, and also that I train and compete hard. Also I would be a strong addition to a professional academy by bringing a competitive attitude and team spirit on and off the pitch. I also have made dramatic improvements to my game and development as a player, and with the professional approach from a professional academy I know I will continue to improve immensely, making me the final end product which I believe will meet the demands of a professional footballer.
