Tell us about your football history (Min 50 words) : I started playing football when i was 7 years of age, and have played in all of the major tournaments for my school and club. I also have won golden boot for the last 3 years running, from seasons 2009-2010 to 2011-2012. I was selected by my school, to attend a Valencia FC training day in Autumn 2012. I have trained with a former Arsenal FC player at Clifton Sports College Bristol at the beginning of 2012. I was selected as one of only two people from my school, to participate in a young athletes experience day at Bath University of Sport, due to my footballing talents, during Spring 2012. I won 'Sportsman Of The Year 2012' at my schools sports award ceremony, which lead to me being chosen to represent my school as an ambassador at the London 2012 Paralympics. I was selected by my school to attend trials for the South Gloucestershire County, which has lead to me becoming a part of the squad. My family have also inspired me to play football. My mothers cousin Noel Blake, was one of the first black footballers to play at a top tier level, and has now gone on to become head coach of the England U19's squad.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : I have high cardio vascular endurance, and have fast acceleration and speed. I can run 100m in just over 12seconds, my personal best being 12.38seconds, which I am continually improving on. I have good composure when in control of the ball, and my advanced athletic ability is the reason I am in accelerated physical education at school. Which means I have been chosen to carry out my physical education practical and theory in an elite performers group, which is limited to 15 high performing students. I have been in this programme for the past two years; since the programme began in my school, for my age group. I have good eye-to-foot coordination, and a quick thought process, which enables me to maintain the ball at a high speed under control. I have a good record of recovering from muscle fatigue, after playing sports for a pre-longed period of time. Which is maintained by my 5 training sessions, which I attend weekly, between my; school, local team, and my county squad.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I would be an excellent candidate for an academy trial as I am dedicated, reliable, passionate, committed, and possess great athletic abilities, which are constantly being recognised by my school, and events that I take part in. This is because I am a motivated person, who thrives at applying myself whole heartedly into every challenge and sporting activity that I partake in. But I am also able to take constructive criticism,without taking offence. I am consistently punctual and a great team player, who has won 'players player' on several occasions. I am a disciplined individual, who not only possesses a high athletic ability, but an equally high academic ability too. I never miss training, which I regard as an essential part of my development as a player. I am also in an advanced mathematics group, which enables me to take my exams early. I am currently doing this, and my predicted grade is an A. I make an excellent ambassador for my school and I am continually being selected to attend events representing my school, Downend Secondary School, Bristol, South Gloucestershire; chosen by my Head teacher, for maintaining a high level of athletic and academic achievements.
