Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : I started playing football when I was aged 11. I didn't start out at a top club, as the first three seasons of my career we was relegated, although I was captain of the club and played centre back, a year later I joined a team called Ecclesfield red rose, they were in the c division in the Sheffield district junior Sunday league, I played centre back and that year we gained promotion, the next year I was made captain we lost some good players and ended up winning one game all season. the last two years at red rose where a big learning curve for me although again it wasn't the highest of standard my game improved that much in them two years I was able to leave the rose and go join one of the top clubs round my area, they were called Rawmarsh St Josephs that year I played four games then sadly tour my cartilage in my knee and needed an operation, all my progress was put on hold for a year I then tried to concentrate on my mind-set in the year I analysed the professional game and what made them so different from me.. so when I got back fit I knew exactly where I needed to work on most. during the first weeks of playing again I was trialling for many different Sunday clubs in the top Sunday league around, during that period I had I trial for Rotherham united Fc and was sadly told I was too small to play centre back, as a player at 5 ft 8 who was very fast I switched to right back, as I was already a good defender I then tried to concentrate on getting forward and really working on the technical side of my game, as I was already a fantastic defender and I was really physically strong, the right back position really suited me. I managed to secure my place in a team called Redfearns Jfc, we finished second in the league and managed to reach the final of the league cup, by then the coaches had developed me into a player that was good enough to go on and play for clubs much higher than Sunday league. the year after that was a bad year for me, multiple injuries all happened simultaneously and kept me out for half the season, which at this point I was playing for Balby academy of sport and a team called brambly sunny-side, for brambly I played left back, I came back from injury and immediately got myself into the starting 11, with 7 assists and 9 clean sheets since I was back from injury we won the league. This now brings me up to present times. Still at collage I play for Balby academy of sport, brambly sunny-side. and the evostick premier league side Worksop town, having been signed for them only two month I am pushing my way into the under 19's side, whilst also playing in the f.a youth cup for the under 18's side, our first game being on the 12th of September 2013. I think myself as a player has lots more to learn and I still feel I have not met my full potential. I have lots of heart in the game and I am always working hard on the training field with and without my team mates to better myself with the goal to become a professional football player, and the dream to retire from my career at supported side Celtic fc. I have never played in an academy, but with the clubs and the football training programs I have been on I have been playing with players that have been released from Liverpool and many other high level academy's and Have not looked out of place. I know there are aspects of my game I need to work on I'm not a player that thinks there too good for the club that they are at, but now I feel I am ready to be pushing towards my dream after starting playing at a club late in life and having an injury spell at the best time for me to be spotted by scouts.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : firstly I would like to state the best thing about me is my work rate and commitment in football, closely followed by versatility to play anywhere on the pitch and be effective. I am a two footed player able to play on ether wing also I am a good talker on and off the pitch. I am a solid defender with the skill to get forward and help the team be creative, I can deliver the ball in the box with either foot and find a player or put it in an awkward position for the defenders to deal with, I can also cut inside and take a good effort on goal if I was needed to do so. I am really good in the air and I can produce a high jump, I am also physically strong and more than capable to play against men twice the size of me. I am a good passer of the ball, using both inside and outside of the left and right foot, I also I have a strong first touch. I am very fast averaging the 100 meter in just over 10.7 seconds. another strength in my game is my communication, when things are going wrong I am capable of keeping the team going and striding towards any sort of result, also by me talking to players it helps them have more time on the ball and gives them options on what to do next. my playing ability is topped off by my ability to adapt very fast to become better and learn the things I need to improve, as my playing history states that I wasn't a very good player when I started playing football at 11 and over 6 years with at least a year and a half out through injury I now feel I am ready to be pushing through to professional level football whom ever that may be for.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I think that I deserve a trial because I think that I am a good player with a lot more to come, at the age of 17 it’s hard for me to get trials because I’d have to be almost ready for first team football, and I think with the work rate and the determination, along with my passion for the sport would drive me towards that with the help of quality coaching and feedback. I think I have the right mind-set and lifestyle to become a professional footballer as I have a good diet and I don't drink or smoke. I know how to have a laugh and take banter from the lads and coaches but as I’ve said before I am a grafter, so it means ill work hard in training and in games. I am not a selfish player and more importantly I am a good little player and feel I would be a good addition to a clubs set up
