Tell us about your football history (Min 50 words) : I started playing football from the age of 5. I used to be a natural striker when I was younger, but as I grew up I have found that Centre Back to be my favoured and best position. I have played in Centre Back consistently for 4 seasons straight. This is a positive as I can play defensively, but I also obtain an attackers skill and mentality which gives me great experience playing in defence in contrast with others. I have played for many teams. In my past two teams, Mill Hill Rangers and Princess Park, I was the captain of both teams for every season I was in the team. In my recent team I am in, Eagles United FC, I am vice-captain. Being a captain in many teams proves I can be a leader on the pitch and off. My biggest football achievement to date is that I have played at the Emirates Stadium in a school cup final tournament, but unfortunately we lost the game but it was a great experience playing there.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : I am known to be a gifted defender as I have great defensive attributes as well as a great attacking mind. This is due to that I used to play as a striker when I was younger. This is a great benefit as now I posses great speed, acceleration and an attacking mind combined with my great defensive attributes. As a defender, I have helped keep the most clean sheets in our league for our team as well as netting in 14 goals last season for my team, 4 being from corners and 10 being from open play and this put me as 2nd top goal scorer overall for my team. What is also a good ability of mine is that I am considered a leader on the pitch. I have been captain for 2 out of the 3 teams I have played for. I am the vice-captain for the current team I am in now. All of this concluded in me not being substituted off any games for my current team and my school team for 2 seasons straight and counting.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I should be considered for trials as I have worked hard for many years to get to the stage I am at now and I fully believe a deserve trials, or scouts to come and watch my games. I had given up last year’s summer holiday with my family just to start training early for the next season and hopefully achieve something with my football, but unfortunately I had no scouts to come and watch me neither any trials. I have continued working extremely hard till this date and a strongly believe I should be given a chance to show the scouts what I am capable of.
