Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : I started playing for Croydon FC when I was 7 in September 2010. However, due to the Clubs financial difficulties (now dismantled) they could not get enough players for the under 8s in 2011. I therefore decided to go for a trial at Chipstead FC in the Tandridge league C. I was immediately taken and played there for the next two years from the age of 8. In the first year 2011-2012 season, I was awarded “most improved player of the year” which really boosted my confidence. I carried on playing for Chipstead FC in the Tandridge league, division C 2012-2013 season at 9 years old. We ended up at a respectable 4th position. Yet again I had a very good season and I was awarded “players player”. Due to my ambitions I wanted to play at a higher division and decided to go for a trial to Glebe Tigers Fc Tandridge league, division B in summer 2013. I now play for Glebe Tigers under 11s at the Tandridge league, division B. During this summer 2013, I also took part at a 4 day tournament with Arsenal FC together with approximately 50 children. I was awarded player of the tournament.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : I have very strong hands and shot stopping is my strongest aspect. I have really improved on my distribution and I am starting to talk and organise my players. I am very strong physically and coming out on crosses/corners have proved successful. I am not frightened to dive at my opponents’ feet on one on one.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I have always played as a goalkeeper; beside me really loving this position it may also have to do with my granddad (professional) and my dad (semi-professional) having played as goalkeepers’, you could say it is in my genes. My achievements at such short space of time indicate that I have a talent as a goalkeeper. I love to play football and I can assure you that my commitment and skills will impress you
