Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : I started playing football from the age of 11 I was a very late developer, from that point onwards my dad took me down the park constantly 3/4 times a week to train and practice the basics for then, first touch, passing, shooting, control. I then to went on to play for saint georges warriors, Which was great first year I joined half way through as they was a striker short I pushed up and scored nine in ten games and was happy for my first year in football, I then went on to continue this form for the next three years at my club, four years in and in my last season they moved me out left as they played with one striker and wanted to try a 4-3-3 formation, it worked well as I had the pace and knowledge to track back and help but at the same time be a threat going forward, The end of that season I was happy with my development but wanted a challenge and felt a new club would do this for me, I found a club that was in a lower league and thought I would go down for a trial and see what it was like, from that moment I brought into the managers plan and vision, He was very focused, a nice manager but wanted to push the team forward, I brought a player with me and he moved the two of us into central midfield, I was comfortable their and over that season went on to do things I had not done before, Score from 30 yards onwards, control the play, be the person assisting more than the person scoring the goals but I was happy in this role, I was able to 'play' the right way, 2/3 touch football with the ability to create and push the team forward, the creativity was something this team had lacked, I played their for four years, by this time the team had finished as it was at the end of their level, they finished at under 18's everytime, I had an offer to play for their academy but I felt it was right to walk away at that point with my head held high and look for a new challenge in my adult years, At the time I knew I had a number of players who were of a good enough standard to push forward as a club so I created my own side and picked up players I had played with in the past while attracting a few players on trials in the meantime, it was new to me doing the coaching side of things but I was doing both duties as player manager very well, the first season we was strong with victories against top sides well I knew I had fired the lads up to have this never say die attitude that I have grown to love! The squad competed well that season and I played well but felt I could give more, so in the second season I brought in a coach and stepped down, I still help out but now concentrate on my playing ability and duties more than coaching, Football isn't just a hobbie and this is why I have a love for the game that hopefully will push me on to the next level.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : As a central midfielder, I am comfortable and always try to control the game and get the team pushing on, I always try to do the things im good at great but also try to do things I have not done before well to improve my all round game,, I am a player able to score from 30 yards onwards, control the play, be the person assisting more than the person scoring the goals but Im happy in this role, Im able to 'play' the right way, 2/3 touch football with the ability to create and push the team forward, the creativity is something some teams lack, But all I hope to do is be that man in the middle that players around me can trust with the ball and trust to help the team win. My first touch is excellent but I keep working on it as I don't want to become lazy with it and make mistakes. My all round game is something which I look to improve if I could point one area would be heading but I feel I can push on and improve this area most definetly with my commitment skills.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I believe I should get a trial because my ability speaks for itself, Im not over confident, I don't go round thinking im a professional or better than I am, im level headed and know where im at and where I want to be, and to reach that level I can get their with help from places like this, I can reach the top, be someone people inspire to be like, Given the chance its something no one would regret taking.
