Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : Last summer I attended an open trial for darlington's youth programme, after the first trial the coach asked me if I would like to play with the current team in a tournament that weekend (of course I said yes) after starting the first match and producing many late saves to keep the score at 2-0 the coach asked me to sign after the tournament. I was later informed that there was a Sunderland scout at that tournament watching the team and he had singled me out as an interest, as it is now February I feel that interest has now subsided.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : I personally feel that my strengths at agility, reflexes and reaction time. This allows me to perform one on ones and a string of multiple saves well. I think that saving a combination of shots e.g a triple save, is my strongest aspect of the game however I also feel that my ability to support the back four from my position on the pitch could also be seen as one of my strengths. My coach at darlington seemed to be surprised that I have had coaching and he and I both believe that with the correct coaching I could move to a higher club, hence me applying to this.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I feel that if I were to receive a trial at a club like Middlesbrough or any local club in the north east, I personally think I would stand a form chance as I am always striving for success and my hunger to be a professional results in me training every day possible. Personally I think that a club like Middlesbrough would be perfect for me as I rise to the challenge and it also gives me a firm platform for a prospecting career.
