Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : I started playing football when I was five years old, I started out as a goalkeeper, although I never joined a club at that age. At that time I was living in Dublin. When I was six years old I moved to Laois. I was still playing as a goalkeeper. My friends were saying how good my reflexes were and they convinced me to join their G.A.A football club Ballyfin. They started me as their goalkeeper but G.A.A football was a sport I was not interested in. When I was ten years old I finally joined my first football team; Mountmellick United F.C. They started me out as a right winger but I found it quite hard as I was only left footed. Then they tried me as a centre back. My coach said that he put me there because I had pace to catch any player. He then put me as a left back as he wanted me to run down the flank to create chances. In my first three seasons with Mountmellick I had won nothing but on my fourth season we won two trophies, the league and a shield plate.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : I am a speedy and a trickery left back who likes to get foward and defend. I am hard-working and I am a good dribbler. I have good ball control and good passing. I have a good strong shot. I am good a penalties and good vision. I use my strength to win the ball back. I have a high jump for headers. I can use both of my feet but my stronger foot is my left.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : A academy director should give me trial because I want to play for a good decent team. I want them to see if I am good enough for a good club. They should give me a trial because I want to impress them and I want to fulfill my dream of becoming a a world class football player.
