Write about your football history : I've moved to a lot of different towns around the UK from London to Oxford to Nottingham and even Guernsey and I've always represented my school team and a local team if I was able to get myself there for the training sessions. I've played for some big schools like the Guernsey grammar school and st Gregory the great in Oxford. I've got a very competitive and tactically aware mind and this drives me to push myself physically and continue to challenge myself and at times I did this by competing in other sports like rugby, basketball and athletics. I found that I am able to bring mental aspects from each and apply them to football. Rugby as a winger I found the bravery to run at my opponent no matter how skilful or imposing the opponent and I quickly learnt the importance of a drop of the shoulder before receiving the ball for that extra yard as well as chasing back and not giving up on a tackle. Basketball taught me specifically the importance of making runs even if it means you don't get the ball but you lead the defender away from an oncoming teammate of mine. I could go on further into this as I am quite passionate about the way football is played and how teams set-up and player roles. What I lack in playing experience and pedigree only served to push me into forming my own education and training at a pace that pushes me rather than based on my surroundings necessarily.
Write about your Playing Ability : I feel as though I am often reading the game ahead of some teammates I have had in the past but every now and then I am motivated by moments where footballing i.q. or even chemistry is just right. I would say I am a skillful player with some good technique on the ball, approximately 6ft 1inch, played rugby and basketball also (can dunk in a 10 ft basketball rim) so I have a good jump on me. A lot of pace as I have always competed in county events for the 200, 400 and 800 and recently with the strength and muscle I have added I am a formidable 100m runner also. The main reason I wouldn't make a great striker even though many coaches have tried that for me is because I portion of my game is lost if I receive the ball and I'm restricted to laying it back before turning and making a run. From the wing I can do that as well as take it to the byline and cross it or cut inside to shoot on my favoured right foot. I have some good technique and power on my right foot and coaches had always noted good corners and free-kick ability as well as the ability to be consistently accurate and deliberate with attempts.
