Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : Aged 15, I joined Blackburn rovers where I played from 2008-2013 and gained my football experience. My nick name is yammy or yamen and I’m a prolific goal scorer, weather playing on left wing or upfront as a forward: My first taste of football in season 2009 – 2010, I made 13 appearances for the academy under 18s and the FA youth cup scoring (9 of which was as a substitute) scoring 2 goals. 2010 – 2011 was a big season for me where I made 6 appearances for the reserves (5 as substitute) scoring 1 goal, 2 starts in the Lancashire senior Cup scoring 1 goal, 21 appearances for the academy under 18s (8 as substitute) scoring 7 goals and finally 2 substitute appearance in the FA youth cup. The following season I went on to better highs by making 7 appearances for the reserves scoring 1 goal, 11 for the academy under 18s, scoring 6 goals and 7 appearances for the FA youth cup scoring 2 goals. Last season, I made 17 appearances scoring 4 goals in the process for the reserves under 21s. I played in 3 FA youth cups and made it to the semi-finals as a school boy and scored the winning goal in the quarter finals to put us through. I was one of the youngest academy player to feature in a FA youth cup game.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : I’m a right footed player, who is known for my pace, fitness, muscular, power and an all round seasoned player. My preferred position is left wing but I also play as a right or center forward. I am very skilful on the ball and my dribbling ability has been praised by my coaches. Some of my attributes include my great vision to spot a pass and catch defenders and goal keepers off guard. Passing ranges including using my weaker foot, scoring with my head and when I’m in one on one situation, I never panic which make me a good finisher. Other attributes includes: long rang shots, scoring with my head, composure, high level of concentration, off and on the ball positioning, work rate and finally my Loyalty to commit to on club.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I am an adaptable, reliable and energetic, highly team spirited and versatile individual that never stops until my battery runs out. I’m a well composed individual who can achieve any task offer and being only 19 years of age, I believe I can be an asset to any club if given the opportunity.
