Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : I first played for Incknield Youth in Dunstable at U8 where we won the league and cup. I ended the season as top goal scorer with 35 goals. I was left wing. I then signed for Luton Town from U9 where I played as a left back. I was there until I was genuinely surprised at being released during the U14 season. I had started with Luton Athletics Club which got me much quicker and stronger and I was playing really well. My coach who was a pro for 20 years (Drewe Broughton) was raving about me and telling if I carried on improving like I was and with my attitude I would make a pro. He was told by the Academy Director 5mins before a mid season assessment that I would not be given a new contract at the end of the season. He couldn't believe it. I then went to Stevenage FC until the end of the season at which time they gave me a 2 year contract for the U15/16 season. I signed this but then agreed to have it terminated as I told them I would concentrate on the athletics career. This was partly true, but the actual reason was that my parents were going through some problems and it was putting pressure on them getting me to training and for the day release as I have two younger brothers. I never told my parents why I made that decision as I didn't want them blaming themselves. I felt it was just best to say I wanted to do athletics more. I then went to Dunstable Town Incknield at U15. They played me as either a striker or number 10 role or centre midfield. Voted player of the year and top scorer. I also play for Bedfordshire FA League County Representative side and for Bedfordshire County Schools both either striker or centre midfield.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : Although I have been playing in a more advanced role, I feel that I am a quality left back. I have great technical ability, skilful, strong and very fit. My stamina and strength is very good. Currently 15th in the country at 800 metres which my time for last summer was 1min 57 seconds. Also run for Bedfordshire in athletics and Cross Country races.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I feel that an Academy Director should give me a trial because I am determined to earn myself a scholarship with a pro club. Having played in many different games and teams, I have not seen a left back that I have felt is better than me. My attitude to training and games is excellent. I will listen to any advice given to me and will not give up until I have achieved my first goal of earning a scholarship. I am a left back who his quick, strong and comfortable on the ball with great technical ability. Not easy beaten and can use the ball well.
