Tell us about your football history in 100 words: I started out as a defender when I arrived for trials at Young stars in 2009, but assumed the gloves by chance after he experienced chest problem then youth coach Metro who converted me to a goalkeeper. In my second season I often struggled to regain the form and consistency of the previous season even though Young Stars coach to finish third in the standings and win the Milo cup
Tell us about your Playing ability in 50 Words: Communication is key in any game. I'm just as much a part of the team as anyone else, and I have the luxury of seeing the whole entire field. I Let my players know who is open, when a man is on, when they can shoot, etc.
I am the “last line of defense, first line of offense”. My team can use me in many situations. If a man is on my teammate’s back, that person may have to play the ball back to me. When that happens, I may have to one-time it to an open player, or take a dribble or two if I have room. Even after a save, I can always play the ball from my feet. If I play like a field player, that gives me a 12-11 man advantage.
Always catch the ball when I can. The only time this rule doesn’t apply is when I am in a penalty kick overtime. Otherwise,I'm always concentrate on trying to catch the ball. It cuts down on my work if I only have to make the save once. Sometimes it is impractical to be able to catch it. If I can’t catch the ball, knock it as far away from the goal as possible! This includes punching over the net out of bounds!I Set up the field on dead balls. On corner kicks, free kicks, goal kicks, or penalty kicks, I always want to make sure I'm positioned correctly, and that my team is positioned correctly. I'm in charge of the whole field. My first priority is to make sure I'm in the correct position to tell my team what to do. Then I get set and ready. For instance, if I'm building a wall, I have to first be in position to build my wall, then I get set and ready for the kick. On a corner, I have to get into a position to where I can tell my team to cover posts or help guard the man that’s guarding me, then I get set and ready for the play.I Stay focused on the ball. I know the old saying “Keep your eye on the ball”? Well, the saying applies everywhere, as well! I can lose sight of the ball in an instant if I'm not focused on it.
I Don’t get discouraged. My Distribution is as important as anything else.I Just make sure I'm distributing out to the flank and away from the goal. If I need to punt or dropkick the ball every time, I do that. The farther away from the goal the better, whether its to someone on the flank or someone on the other half of the field.
I'm Always aware. Anything can happen on the field. A.I'm Always awareo on my positioning, and what’s going on around me. I know I'm not that perfect but I am the best...
Why should an Academy Manager give you a football trial in 50 words: Because I'm brave and I have character for my position. I know one day I'm going to be the best. And he won't be disappointed for choosing me because I'm going to prove him that I'm the best. With his help I'm going to make it... I'm good but I'm not perfect, with a little bit of help I'll be perfect... I hope I'll give me a chance. And I'll be taken to consideration.
