Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : I joined Spuer Stars FC when I was 14, and after my second season the team gained promotion to the U-16 3rd division. My first season was not as fruitful as my second as I had to adapt to the team's style of play, but I was able to score 12 goals in a 18 game season. the next season was my best, whereby I scored 21 goals and helped the team gain promotion into the U-16 3rd division. The 3rd season was tougher as we were playing a division better than the previous, and the team finished 10th, but I was the top scorer in the league with 17 goals. I played 54 games for them, scoring 50 goals. After 3 seasons with Super Stars FC I was then signed by the U-18 1st division champions, Eveni Cosmos FC. During my first season I was played as a second striker and often as a left winger. Overall the season was good and I was able to score 8 goals and provide 6 assists. My second season was my best for the club as I was able to score 25 goals in a 30 game season, and able to assist my team win back the Mbabane U-18 1st division title. Overall, I scored 33 goals in 54 games. This earned me my first call up to play for Swaziland's U-18 national team. We played an U-18 tournament in Zinmbabwe, and the team was eliminated in the quarter finals. I enjoyed the experience and was able to score 5 goals in the 4 games we played. Although we did not win the tournament I gained valuable experience as a player. Sadly, due to school commitments I was not able to continue playing soccer, and my only chance to play was for the school team (Waterford Kamhlaba).
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : I am a tall striker, standing at 1.89 metres, and one of my strongest abilities is my headers. I feel I am very strong in the air, and that I can offer any team the advantage from corners or crosses. I am also very strong, therefore I can hold the ball up and bring other into play if needed. I am also very fast. I am the 3rd fastest 100 metre runner at U-20 in Swaziland, so I am able to play off the shoulder of defenders and make runs in behind them. My quick turn of pace and top speed will assist me in doing so. I am also two-footed, so which ever foot the ball lands on, I am able to produce a quality strike which will bother the goalkeeper. I am also skillful, therefore I can trick my way out of sticky situations. I also feel that I am a hard worker. I believe that hard work is slightly more valuable than talent. Hard work instills character, which is needed if any team is to be successful, therefore I believe that hard work is extremely valuable.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I started playing soccer at 12, and from the dusty rural areas (where we used to play with tins and cans) I knew I had found something I loved and absolutely adored. As I moved into the city, soccer became my only hobby. After school I would come back home, take a fruit and a soccer ball, and head to the nearest staduim where I could work on areas of my game that needed improving. I watch soccer on television everyday just to see what how professionals play, and I watch player documentaries just to see how they were able to live out their dream. Football is my heart and soul, and I simply live and breath the sport. I am from a disadvantaaged background, so I was never able to finance the opportunity to attend a trial, but with the Academy Director's help I will be given an opportunity to showcase what I can do. All I have ever needed was the opportunity to showcase my talent, and with the Academy Director's help I have the chance. I believe that God has blessed me with the ability to play soccer, and it would be my gift back to him to show him, and the academy, that I can.
