Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : I started playing football when I was eight, i started my football career at Dewsbury Rangers. We had a great team we finished top four in division one for three years in a row. However over time our team got worse and we got relegated and the team folded. I had a year off football and I went on to do taekwondo. The team restarted but it was under new management, we were put in division two to start with. Our team was terrible and after finishing eleventh I wasn't satisfied as we were once in division one but now we were now being relegated to division three. However I was willing to stay and try my best for the team. I managed to get county trials for spen valley, I did really well and I got into the team. I was then poached by Norristhorpe as most of the players for spen valley also played for Norristhorpe. I then left Dewsbury and at first i didn't know if it was the right choice as all my friends were at Dewsbury. However we finished fourth last season, I was delighted, it was like old days for Dewsbury. We finished the season immense by winning eight of our last nine games. If we play like we finished last season, next season we will win the league! I also played for my school team and we played at a high standard and we do well most of the time in cup runs.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : I play centre midfield, my passing is very good and I have great vision to spot runs which most players can't. My speed and stamina is also good, i play very much box to box so I would class myself as the engine of the team. My ball control and dribble is good, i find it relatively easy to dribble past players, my speed helps out a lot also. I would also say my heading is good, I'm not the tallest as I'm only 5ft9 but my jumping is good and I score a few headers from set pieces. My shot is decent, if I connect well with the ball then I will score but sometimes i miss shots I should score, my shot power is good though. My defensive side is decent as well, I'm good at reading the game so i find it very easy to intercept the ball. My tackling is okay i will win the majority of 50/50 challenges but against the stronger/taller players i sometimes struggle.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I think that an academy director should give me a trial because I'm very determined to succeed as a footballer. I will put everything into the trials, I'm very committed and I will always listen to advice that will help me improve my football skills and my fitness. I'm also hard working, in training and matches because there is no worse feeling than walking of the pitch and feeling bad about your performance. I am helping to coach the u12 Spen valley team with my coach Barry from Norristhorpe, I'm doing this because I want the kids to go far with football and to have the chance I didn't have when I was that age. I believe that I go could do well in the trials, i just have never had the opportunity to do it before.
