Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : My name is Afolabi Soyemi-Ololade; I have been playing football since I was 10. I joined a local team when I was 11; called Euro Dagenham & I still play for them. I went for a Southend trial, they told me I was a talented centre forward but I needed to improve on my fitness. For a year I have been training really hard and I feel I am ready for another trial.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : My preferred position is centre forward. I am strong on and off the ball. I like running at the defenders and looking for a way to get through. I also play centre midfield. I like the game at high speed which helps the game a lot. I am also both footed after an accident which has helped me play with my left foot a lot. I am a fast player with good close control dribbling, I like to take on defenders and beating them to shoot or deliver a cross. I have good accurate long range shots, I like receiving through balls, on the ground or over the top. As a striker I'm always looking for space so I can receive through balls and I have good composure in front of goal. I can also play as a winger using my speed and dribbling to take on defenders and deliver a cross. I work very hard for the team and defend if needed.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I feel an academy director should give me a chance because I would like to have another go showing my talent. I have had many people who have told me to join a team where I can improve a bit more and go professional. I haven't played for many teams but I would like to have an opportunity to become a pro. I want to progress in my football and would like to apply for trials with a club as soon as possible. I have the experience, I have a lot of passion for football and I really enjoy playing football. I'm a player who can play at different positions; I'm always positive and willing to learn more. I do my best every time I step on the pitch and my aim is to score goals and help the team win the match.
