Write about your football history : When I was 11 I was first asked to play for the whole of Cambridgeshire but I was dropped when I was 13. I was then asked to play again for a different county team for the U16 age group and again for the U18 county, both at 17 and again next season. For my youth team, Chatteris Fen Tigers, we won the season 2 times in 5 years, through 2 divisions and the lowest we have ever finished was 3rd. I have been voted for managers’ player and most improved. For the Chatteris Town FC Under 18s, last season we achieved the clubs highest ever position in the Thurlow Nunn League, 5th, and people that watch me play feel that without my contribution, we would have finished in a lower position. I have been playing men's football as well ever since I turned 16. I have been to Chelsea summer camps twice before.
Write about your Playing Ability : I would say that I have a good technique overall, but my best strength I would say is decision-making (parry or catch). I would also say my handling and reflexes are good as well. I also believe that I read the game well and often come to the aid of my defenders when possible. I would say that I have a good level of fitness and I can use my feet to clear danger and/or to pass to team mates and give an extra option for the defence. I would say a minor weakness of mine is consistency of my kicking but I am working on improving my ability as much as I can.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial : I would say I deserve a trial because I've been praised for my constant improvement from people that watch me play and because I live in a rural area, I would say there isn't as much opportunity for me and I am hoping to make that next step up in football, which has been my dream ever since I first got into county at 11. I feel that this is the right time for me to try as I feel that I am more mature in my performances.
