Write about your football history : Football is a very popular sport in Jamaica. It has been my favorite sport for as long as I can remember. When I was about 15 or 16, I played Harbor View FC for about a year but had to excuse myself from that activity to focus on my secondary level education studies; which finished in 2010. I have not played at any formal level since. However, apart from the usual weekend game with friends, I do play at a well-known establishment known as the Football Factory here in Jamaica. There, teams play in controlled environments for set periods of time. I am a regular there on weekends and have been for almost two (2) years now. Ironically, I plan to visit this weekend.
Write about your Playing Ability : I am fast on my feet. I can reach the ball very quickly and put it under control. I humbly submit that my control skills have earned me the alias "Daddy Cesc" (in reference to Cesc Fabregas) amongst my peers in my hometown of Edgewater. Also, I am so well composed to handle one-on-one or few-to-one situations and take the ball from my opponent with relative ease. I am not easily lost by my opponent and can reach to him in time and steal his ball away. I also am talented with the vision to find the right pass at the right time to give my teammate the ball. These skills are interrelated and make me the "Cesc" I am today.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial : If afforded this opportunity to showcase my talents, not only would it be the first steps to helping make the dreams of this young man come true, but the skills, charisma and energy that I bring will positively influence the interests of any club that invests in me; thus uplifting the name of Tony's Soccer School. Showcase of my talents would also highlight the quality of football that is so vastly under-explored in the Caribbean. It could help usher in a new era of football and the powers that be would see that Tony's Soccer School has vision for quality. Thank you.
