Write about your football history : I started playing football when I was 7, and played twice a week every week plus trained twice a week untill I was 16. I started out as a centre back occasionally played right back. From the age of 11 to 13 I had trials with Liverpool, Manchester City. At age 14-15 Bolton, who prolonged my trial period then let me go because I was too small (the reason they gave me). This was hard too take so I stopped playing for few years. I started playing again at 18 and I am now alot taller and gym work has improved my strength. I now play much more attacking positions utilising my pace and control.
Write about your Playing Ability : I believe my playing ability is very good but could improve with guidence and coaching. I am very fast and strong on the ball, I feel like I can create play, the number 10 role if you like.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial : I feel that I have potential to play top league football if given the help and guidence of top class coaches. I have not been lucky enough to get a break in football since Bolton. I feel I am a better more complete footballer now and im confident that I could impress in a trial. I take confidence from the Ricky Lambert story. Somebody gave him a chance and he has made it. I want to do the same.
