Write about your football history : I am currently playing in my second year of Australia's newly formed National Premier League, the second highest league in the country. I am playing in the under 18 team and train consistently with the senior goalkeepers and the first team. Previously I played at NPL club Brisbane Strikers but moved to Western Pride for more of a challenge as I am a goalkeeper and at Brisbane Strikers my team won the league convincingly. I have been playing football since I was seven years old and I love it. I started at Colleges united and have progressed higher through the ranks. In 2013 I trained a whole season with the Brisbane Roar Youth team under goalkeeper coach Jason Kearton.
Write about your Playing Ability : Tall and physically present goalkeeper who deals with crosses well. Great shot stopper and commands players at all times during the game. Playing out from the back is crucial at NPL clubs therefore I am profound with my feet. Great distribution and one on ones are hard to get past me as I stand at 196cm at age 16. I will be 17 in November of 2014.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial : Young and keen Australian goalkeeper who is wanting a chance to show how I play. I believe I will be a great asset to any club providing a rock at the back to base the team on. I am keen to learn as much as I can and progress through the ranks to professional level. Very strong mentally and will overcome any challenge I am faced with. I am sport captain at my school West Moreton Anglican College which has given me great communication both on the pitch and in interviews off the park.
