Write about your football history : I was taken to Birmingham City FC at the age of 6 years old and spent 10 years at the club, I was the original member and longest serving at the time. Unfortunately I had a back injury that kept me out of the team for the majority of the 13/14 season. This is now fully resolved and I am keen to move back in to the professional game as a scholar.
Write about your Playing Ability : I am 5ft 11 in height and usually play a central midfield role in either an attacking or defensive role, however, I have also played right midfield. I am comfortable on the ball using both my left and right feet. When I previously played against Manchester Utd and Manchester city academies, I was picked out by one the their staff as being the outstanding player on the day.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial : I feel I have not yet reached my full potential. After being released by BCFC it has taken me a few months to regain my confidence in my ability. After 10 years of reports from BCFC, they all pointed to the fact that I would receive a scholarship from the club and it came as quite a shock when I was released. I decided to concentrate on my academic qualifications and then to try again in the summer after my exams were complete. I am now writing to clubs again to see what options are available to me
