Tell us about your football history (Min 100 words) : Having lived in England, Nottingham whilst I was a boy I played a high level of football through my youth up until I was 14 years old when my dad was offered a job in Abu Dhabi. I played in the derby city league when I was in England and played for Castle Donington when I was young , I enjoyed a great deal of success there winning leagues and cups but was never fortunate enough to be scouted. I then joined Riverside FC as Castle Donington closed down. I enjoyed playing for Riverside for just over a year before I left to go to Abu Dhabi. In Abu Dhabi I joined a centre of excellence team there and went on tours to Singapore, where i was scouted to join another academy. Whilst I was in Singapore we played in a tournament called the Copa Singapura which we did win under the watchful eyes of Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo and Nani's agent, who said that 3 players, including me, where very good players. We also went to Liverpool to play against the u18 team where we lost 2-1 to a controversial penalty. I have toured Hong Kong with my school, Barcelona with Abu Dhabi Thistles, playing against the Espanyol U16 and Barcelona U16 academy teams, where I got an assist for the only goal scored against the Barcelona U16 academy team and the U.S.A. with Precor UAE, where I played in the U17 Dallas Cup. I won the MUSS 2011 Abu Dhabi Soccer Skills final, qualifying for the MUSS World Skills final, 2011, which took place at Carrington and Old Trafford where I finished top of my age group and 16th over all out of 30 people. I also attended Luton Town trials when I was 15 and was playing along side 24/25 year olds for a place in the academy, unfortunately I was told I was too small and since then I have grown and developed into a much better player. When i has just turned 17 I made the decision to move to Singapore to play professional football for Geylang united where unfortunately I could not sign until I was 18, I decided to not sign for this club when I did turn 18 as the club had made a big mistake affecting me. I went looking for another club and found SCC an amateur mens team coached by Owen Monaghan an ex Everton academy coach and decided to play for them where I still currently play. I also trained with Warriors, a professional team in Singapore, whilst I was playing for SCC and Warriors are currently looking into signing me for the u23 team for next season, as are Hougang united, another professional team.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : I am a natural number 10, playing as an attacking midfielder and linking up the play. I like to take players on and get shots away from inside the area and around the edge of the area. I work very hard in training and in matches in order to be the best possible player I can be. I can also drop deeper and play in a holding midfield role as I do like to and can spread the play very well from the middle of midfield. I like making big tackles and winning the ball off the opposition. For my club I play as an attacking midfielder playing behind the lone striker and sometimes drop into a central midfield role of a 442 formation. I am very hard working no matter what position I play and I am constantly looking to improve. I am a two footed player, I can shoot with both my left and right foot despite being naturally right footed.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I believe that I should be given a trial because I will work very hard for any team, I have improved a lot in the past few years and have developed into a much much better player that can control a midfield week in week out and create goals for the strikers and even score a few myself. I believe I should be given a chance because I can help to further develop a squad and I will always run for the team and I will constantly work hard to improve. I am a consistent player that gives 110% every week. Also I have done a lot of different things in football and gone to a lot of different places to pursue my dream. Most recently I have moved to Singapore where I now play in an adults league which has physically developed me and made me toughen up a lot. I believe that if given a chance I will pay back the faith any Academy director would show me by giving me a trial and I think I would be a good addition to the squad. Unfortunately I have never had the chance to prove what I can do in an academy in a big footballing country and would like that opportunity to show what I can do.
