Tell us about your football history (Min 50 words) : Patrick started his career with Town Green Pumas in the Under 7 team, initially as a right back but occassionally playing in goal when required. This continued for the Under 8's and then in the Under 9's Patrick moved to right midfield playing as a wing back or out and out winger to which he was awarded the most improved player at the club. Patrick has predominantley remained in this postion, but moving to right back when required. Patrick has won 2 league titles and was awarded the Clubman of the Year award last year for his all round play and commitment to the club, especially during the transition of the team moving from Town Green to become Maghull FC. Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : Patrick is a versatile footballer who can play both right and left sided as an attacking midfielder or defender and currently plays right wing back/midfielder for his Sunday team and left back for hisSaturday team. Patrick is always willing to sacrifice his personal glories for the team and can be relied upon in any position his manager puts him in. His ability to play as an attacking right sided player on a Sunday, and then a left sided defensive player on a Saturday, shows the versatility he has, as he is quick and skillful and will chip in with goals.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : Patricks commitment to his football is second to none as he never misses training or matches, unless he is on a family holiday or injured, and he has only missed about 3 games from 7 years of age due to injury. Patrick will play to the best of his ability, even if it is not his favoured position, as proven last summer when he played in numerous positions for the team, as his manager has confidence in his ability, which earned him Clubman of the Year. Patrick listens and will try new skills, and do the job his Manager asks him to do, rather than go for personal glory and would be an asset to any Academy.
