YOUTH ACADEMY PRO CLUB TRIALS
How To apply...
If you are aged 6 – 15 years old and are interested in playing for Southend United
Football Club’s Academy, then this is your opportunity to come along and demonstrate
your football skills.
Please note: we do not currently hold trials for Under 16’s or for girl’s teams.
SUFC Academy is holding trials on Wednesday 6th August, for the following age groups:
OPEN TRIAL DATES: Wednesday 6th August 2014
Please note these are for the 2014/2015 season age groups
Under 7’s, Under 8’s, Under 9’s,Under 10’s, Under 11’s and Under 12’s
9am – 10.30am
Under 13’s, Under 14’s,
11:30-13:00pm
Under 15’s
14:00pm - 3:30pm
The trials will take place at:
BOOTS & LACES TRAINING GROUND,
EASTERN AVENUE,
SOUTHEND-ON-SEA, ESSEX. SS2 4DX
The trials are free and open to footballers who live within 90 minutes travel time of the
training facility
and will consist of small-sided games in each individual age group (number dependant).
The Academy coaching and recruitment team will be on hand to watch each group
in a safe, pressure free environment.
Please note, the above age groups are for the coming 2014/2015 season.

How to apply
To register for a trial the attached Trial Application/Parental Consent Form
must be completed by your parent/legal guardian and returned to;

ACTION PLAN
1) Read through the enclosed information carefully
2) Send back the attached completed form to register your place on the trial
3) Keep this letter as confirmation of times / dates / venues etc.
4) You will not receive a confirmation letter. Once you send off this form you have
been registered.
5) Following the trial, you will only be contacted if you are successful
PLEASE CHECK THE TIMES ABOVE CAREFULLY, TO MAKE SURE YOU ATTEND
AT THE RIGHT TIME
You are advised to arrive 15 minutes before the start time of your trial,
Please arrive in training kit, and remember to bring with you,
• Shin pads,
• Football boots
• Drinks bottle.
On arrival please report to the appointed designated meeting place:
The front reception at Boots and Laces, where players will be registered and
shown to an appropriate changing area.
Refreshments for parents will be available at Boots and Laces and a designated
parent’s area will be marked out on the training ground for parents wanting to spectate.

Throughout the 2013/14 season Barnet Football Club will be running open trials for Under 9s all the way up to 1st team.
Barnet Football Club looks to provide opportunities for talented footballers who may have been over looked by other traditional recruitment paths.
Other than being recommended by one of our official scouts we will only consider trials through the application process below:
PLEASE NOTE: TRIALS ARE CURRENTLY ONLY OPEN TO UK BASED APPLICANTS.
NON-UK BASED APPLICANTS WHO BOOK TRIALS WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND.
