Request a Trial with Ipswich Town FC Academy

In an effort to avoid your disappointment, Ipswich Town Football Club will not normally invite a player in for a trial unless one of our scouts has seen him play and thinks he is of the required standard. Our scouts continually watch the best standard, and teams, of football in their allocated areas, and they will only recommend a player for trials who they feel has a high level of all-round ability, along with the attributes required to become a professional footballer.

Players should be playing regularly for a club. Players aged 16-18 should be playing at a competitive standard (we would suggest at least semi professional non-League football). You should also hold a British or EU passport, or have ‘leave to remain’ in this country. If the above applies to you send a football CV

There are limited spaces per age group available and places will be secured on a first come first serve basis.

An email will be sent following the sessions with a decision and if players show the required standard they will be invited to join the programme.

The trials take place on the field turf at Portman Road. Entry is via Gate 1, Sir Alf Ramsey Way.

Players must bring weather appropriate clothing, shin pads, a drink and Astro boots, and any essential medication/inhalers and goalkeeper gloves if registering as a ‘keeper.

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY FC ACADEMY OFFICIAL TRIAL AND APPLICATION TO ACADEMY

Here is the application for the Sheffield Wednesday Academy. Whilst Open trials are hard to come by you must make an initial application to an academy to either be invited in for a trial or to get a football scout to come and watch you play. We cannot promise you will get scouted this time, but we always encourage to send in a playing CV.

Professional clubs are trained and educated and also must adhere to FA guidelines to scout players. So the club must be honest and give everyone an opportunity allowing them the chance to read a players CV/ability and this is the guidelines you must follow to make that initial contact. Although they may read your CV normally they may not respond this time.

Please use the following criteria as a guideline:

•  Age group/date of birth

•  Fixture lists (including kick off times and venues)

•  Contact telephone number and address

If we are impressed by a CV. We will make our interest in the player known by contacting the respective club at which he is registered.

Reading FC Academy Open Trials Official Application Process

Potential players are occasionally invited in for a trial period of up to eight weeks with Reading FC Academy.

With our new Football Academy course which is in partnership with Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation, you’ll be well on your way to kick-starting your footballing career.

So during the course you’ll be representing the college and Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation by playing against other academic teams whilst developing your understanding of coaching, fitness and sports development. You’ll even visit both the Molineux Stadium and Compton Park Training Ground to undertake practical and theoretical workshops.

Wanting to gain your FA badges too? You’ll do just that and much, much more.

Aside from gaining your FA badges, you’ll also gain the Football Academy Level 3 Diploma.
