    LEWIS SIMPSON HERMITAGE ACADEMY PLAYER

    My name is Lewis Simpson hermitage academy player, I am sixteen years old and live in Chester -le-Street, County Durham. I attended The Hermitage Academy and I am staying on for the sixth form. At the moment I am waiting for my GCSE's results.

    Apart from football my other main interest is going fishing with my father and grandfather, I enjoy the competition between the three of us, I also like to help my father refurbish cars, when he is on leave as a Paramedic for the North East Ambulance Service. Another interest of mine is dancing and acting, I have appeared in many school performances and competitions. I went to London, as part of Durham's bid for culture, it was a memorable experience as we had our photo taken with the lead cast member of Billy Elliot.

    I have been playing football for Waldridge Reds since I was 10 years old,and I have always enjoyed going to training sessions and matches, my parents say I was kicking a ball as soon as I could walk. Apart from Goalkeeper I have played in most positions but my manager found that my best position was centre attacking midfielder or striker, this he says is due to the fact I am quick on and off the ball. It has always been my ambition to become a professional football player since I was a small child. As yet I have not scored a goal but I have set up many assists. 
    Waldridge Reds are currently part of the Russell Foster Youth League and last season we finished 8th. 
    I would like to join a Football Academy in the North East if possible but would consider moving further afield. I feel I would make a good contribution to any team given the right coaching.
