MANCHESTER UNITED & MANCHESTER CITY SCOUTS IMPRESSED WITH PLAYERS
Barclays Premier League runners up Manchester United and Champions Manchester City were both impressed with two players from the Harrogate AFC Trials Day and these were seen playing in the Over 18's age group and Under 16's age groups. Further details have now been sent to both team scouts and we wait to receive further communication from the two Manchester-clubs.
NPower Championship sides Leeds United and Barnsley have seen the benefits again of attending the trials day and following the event, they have highlighted a Left Wing Back from the Under 16's age group and asked FootballCV to put them in contact with him. The players parents/guardians have now been contacted and have since made contact with the clubs scouts to arranged a date for the player to go in for further trials.
Another Championship side in attendance on the day, Middlesbrough, were impressed with a number of players from event, in particular a Forward from the Under 18's and a Left Wing Back from the Under 16's. The playing of these two have now been sent through with a view to him watching them again playing for their regular club side's.
Simon Weaver, first team manager from Blue Square Conference North side Harrogate Town AFC watched the games and highlighted two Forward's from the Under 18's age group and a Midfielder from the Under 16's age group who caught his eye. Simon has now had his number passed onto the player's parents/guardians.
Tadcaster Albion AFC of the Northern Counties East League Premier Division, have taken details on eleven players from the different age groups on the day and requested their contact number be passed onto all of them for them to invite them in to the club for further trials. Six players from the Over 18's, four players from the Under 18's and one player from the Under 16's all stood out at the Harrogate Trials Day.
FCV TRIALS DAY @ REDDITCH UNITED
A scout representing a number of clubs including Aston Villa, Shrewsbury, AFC Telford, Wrexham and The New Saints attended the Trials Day at Redditch United and was pleased with the overall standard of players on show. He requested further details on eleven players in total including four from the Under 16's age group, one from the Under 18's and six from the Over 18's age group and is now speaking to the different clubs he represents to recommend these players to.
NPower Championship playoff semi-finalists Birmingham City have taken further details on five players from this event. A Central Midfielder and a Left Wing Back from the Over 18's and two Defenders and a Left Wing Back from the Under 18s age group have all had their details sent through to the scout. This particular scout also represents Evo-stik Northern Premier League side Romulus and will now be identifying which players are suitable for the different levels that he represents.
Another Evo-Stick Northern Premier League side, Chasetown, were impressed with a Left Centre Back from the Under 18's age group on the day. They have now studied closely his player details and have requested his number be passed onto the players parents/guardians.
