Tell us about your football history (Min 50 words) : I started playing football in 2007 at a level which is something less than amateur in my school, in India. I gained a lot of interest for the sport and I wished to take it up seriously, as a profession. I played for my state team(Haryana State) in 2009 and went on achieving more in 2010 ; Scouts from Bolton Wanderers FC International Soccer School were in Delhi, India. They took a camp for 3 days and selected 5 Indian boys to compete in a competition in Bolton at the Reebok Stadium the following year. There were players from 15 different countries. The same year I was chosen for the Tata Football Academy which is one of the finest academies in India. In 2011 I was scouted for a camp where top 30 U15 kids were chosen from India to be trained by Arsenal Soccer School coaches in India. In september 2011, I came to England to study and to play for Brooke House College Football Academy where I got 25 appearances, 3 man of the matches and 3 assists. The highest rating I got was 9 and the lowest was 4. We even played against semi-pro clubs like Cogenhoe United, Histon FC, Rugby Town FC and Chase Town Fc and pro clubs such as Hull City, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest. My next season is going to begin in September 2012.
Write about your Playing Ability (Min 50 words) : I think since I came to England, which was last year, my game has developed a lot. I have the mentality of keeping the ball and playing possession football. I played my first season as a Defensive Midfielder/ Centre Back. My composure on and off the ball developed so much playing at these positions. My confidence has boosted up as well. I think I'm good strength, confidence and composure wise. I would rate my technical ability 6 out of 10. I have been lately working on it and I think as i return for my season in September my coaches should feel a difference in my game. My heading ability is good too.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial (Min 50 words) : I think I deserve a trial because on this journey, from India to England I had to prove a lot of people and show them my point. I had to earn respect at every stage. My family was even on my side when I told them I want to pursue football seriously. I had to prove it to them and then to myself after reaching the top 30 U15 kids in the Country. Then after speaking with the Bolton coaches at the end of the camp, my dad got convince to send me to UK and so I got selected for Brooke House College Football Academy. Here, at my first season I saw I could match the standards of those who have been playing football at a good level since the age of 5 or 8 or whatever. I've played this sport for about 4 years, 3 years in poor football standards and I still match them. I want to develop more because I know I have scope to make it as a professional. I just need chances. To be honest, when I played Newcastle United U16's , I thought I can never be a good as them, but when I played Forest and Hull, I did think I can play for their squads. I know I've got it in me. You give me a chance, and I know I won't disappoint you.
