I invite you to view the BSA web site www.barbadossocceracademy.comand witness our activities and achievements in the Galleries section over the last 6 year In the last 6 years, I took 10 teams to the USA, and played some friendly matches against Division 1 and Division 2 colleges, also our under 17 and under 18 teams played in the 2009 Coco Expo Showcase and Tournament, and the 2010 Disney showcase and tournament. Recently one of our team traveled to Houston Dynamo Major League Club, and 4 of our youth players were selected to train and play with the Houston Dynamo Academy youth teams. I will be happy for youth players of Barbados to be part of your youth trials development youth programme. Barbados is a very small country in the Caribbean, which limits the amounts of tournaments that we can participate in, also we don’t have residence programme to prepare players to a higher level of performance. The BSA and your club seen to agree on the idea that there are complementing philosophical approaches to the development of young persons which could be maximized through the establishment of an alliance between the parties. I would be grateful to receive your initial thoughts and/or interest in the possibility of creating a strategic relationship or a ‘club partnership’ arrangement, where we can share our core competencies, which would include the potential for from Barbados representing your club, team visits, players exchange visits, promotional/ camps, player trials etc, etc. In December 28, 2013 to January 05, 2014 the BSA will be hosting the Barbados Caribbean International Youth Tournament. I will like as many teams from USA to come to Barbados. The BSA sports policy is simply based on recognition of the important role that sports play in the life of the individuals, our communities and our nation. Because of the health, social and economic benefits which can be derived from participating in sports, it can be deemed as important as any other activity or field of endeavor that feeds the total development of the individual and the society Our main objective is to ultimately secure overseas academic and athletic scholarships for our members, who are mainly youth attending secondary and tertiary schools, to help those students perform at a higher level in soccer as well as to maximize their potential while pursuing their academic studies. The BSA is on the move of taking football and education into a new phase of development; with particular emphasis on securing soccer scholarships and soccer contracts opportunities at the international level for our youth.
