MARC PELOSI LIVERPOOL FC ACADEMY PLAYER

Marc Pelosi (born 17 June 1994) is a German-born American footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Liverpool Academy and reserves.

Marc Pelosi signed for Liverpool on 8 November 2011 from American club DeAnza Force, based in California. The young starlet had already caught the attention of a number of top clubs when Liverpool scouts noticed his talents in the 2011 under-17 FIFA World Cup, where he captained his country to the last 16.

Speaking to Liverpool FC TV, Academy director Frank McParland said of the signing: "There were a lot of sides interested both home and abroad - as well as in the USA - so to sign him is a bit of a coup for us." Pelosi quickly found himself playing regularly for the under-18s and also made his reserve team debut within weeks of signing. Unfortunately for Pelosi however his season was to be abruptly cut short by injury, and he saw out the remainder of the campaign from the sidelines with only a handful of appearances to his name.

Described as a versatile footballer, capable of playing anywhere on the left flank or at central midfield, Pelosi is tipped for a bright future at Liverpool.
