PIERLUIGI GOLLINI MANCHESTER UNITED FC ACADEMY PLAYER
Pierluigi Gollini was signed from Fiorentina but a broken leg delayed his registration at Manchester United.
The young goalkeeper made his debut in March for Manchester United against Stoke City and made five appearances towards the tail-end of the campaign.
With competition for the gloves fierce - five different keepers were used by Paul McGuinness in 2011/2012 - he was disappointed to make a mistake that cost the Reds three points at Huddersfield Town but he bounced back with admirable spirit to perform impressively in the matches against Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City.
As he has a huge frame for his age and is a big presence, it will be interesting to note his development as he beds into life in a new country.
