Write about your football history : I am coming into a year of my 2 year scholarship at Ilkeston FC. I will be finishing my scholarship in 2015/2016 season and I'm highly confident to get into the first team and hoping i progress even further after playing with a great club. However more importantly to me, in my first year i have been on trial at QPR for a week. Unfortunately i didn't get in due to their reasons that my cv wasn't strong enough for big clubs like them and they didn't believe i was big enough to be a left back - even though i believe i performed at a high standard during both trials. This didn't put me down it only made it want it more having tasted what it's like being at a big clubs like them. Im positive and want to keep on progressing and improving my footballing skills and knowledge. Write about your Playing Ability : im a strong competitive left back. I began as a winger however agreed with the decision of the coach to play as a wing back/full back. Im an attack minded defender who gets the most fun out of the game by link-up play, and creating assists through the left hand side, along with putting in a good tackle and making sure my oppenet rarely beats me one on one. I like the defence to be organised too, therfore im definetly not afraid to take charge when need be to try make sure of that. Im able to adjust to various styles of play, id like to say im confident on the ball and want to play for the team to win comfortablly, i like to produce confidence in other players too.
Why should an Academy Director give you a trial : I strive to be one of the best left backs to play the game. i have studied the likes of reberto carlos, jordi alba, luke shaw, ashley cole, and picked individual qualitys that i try emulate in my game. With an oppurtunity to play at a higher level im positive i could make that happen.
