    GOALKEEPER'S DESERVE AWARDS

Goalkeeper's Deserve Awards at Tony's Soccer School

Another successful weekend for Tony's Soccer School and this week the Goalkeepers deserve to grab the awards. Goalkeeper's don't often grab the headlines with Goals but give everything for the team. Joe Justice surely grabbed 3 points for his team in Goal, today. Lucy Daly improving week on week also contributes to her teams points tally every single week. Diego, Alfie, Taylor & Jed deserve praise for great weekly performances between the posts. Algorfa Goalkeeper also deserves a special mention this week. Well done and special thanks go to our Goalkeeping heroes.

    Mil Palmeras u10's 2 v 0 Rojales.

Mil Palmeras Goalkeeper Joe Justice made some critical saves in beating Rojales B 2-0 today but made hard work of it . First half Mil Palmeras had far more possession but just could not find back of the net. Ruben Breeze, Cai Alvarez and Bailey Tomlinson at the back dealt with there attacks and the midfield played some lovely pass and move football at times but we went in at half time 0-0.

The second half Mil Palmeras controlled more of the game and popped in 2 goals inside 10 minutes. First Morgan Earl found Ben Naylor in front of goal who wriggled between the defenders to shoot. Then Oliver Godden's floating free kick found Luke Naylor's head to score. Player of the match Joe Justice. Well Done to everyone.
Another 3 points in the bag with 7 matches left and it's looking tight at the top of the table .

    Mil Palmeras u7's 10 v 0 Bigastro

Team Sponsor San Miguel Ford Garage.

Mil Palmeras kept the heat on at the top of the table, with a fantastic win over Bigastro with a difficult match to start with. It was a lovely Sunday Morning perfect to play football in, and Mil Palmeras certainly played some great football, going in at half time 3-0. Goal scorers Taylor Hirst 2, Orlando Breeze 2, David Milton Stamm got a deserved Hatrick. Henry Long was assured in defence then in goal second half grabbed another goal. Alfred Emmett scored 2 but in truth should of had more. Well Done Kevin Ruiz who scored in front of proud mum and Dad, Angel & Emma. Final score 10-0 which see Mil Palmeras grow into the match as it went on.

    Mil Palmeras A u12's 5 v 2 Algorfa

Team sponsor, Cash in the attic, Playa Flamenca.

Both goalkeepers were in great form and Algorfa Goalkeeper must be credited for some outstanding saves.

Great start for Mil Palmeras, Jake Scott was awarded a penalty and scored. Then followed by Lewis Long tapping in a goal from a great cross. Half time 2-0 to Mil Palmeras. Lucy Daly was outstanding again with her saves. Algorfa then scored, with Jake Scott making it 3-1. So for a while it was tense with it being 3-1. Harvey Worthington scored a great goal and then Jake Scott got his well deserved hat trick and Player of the Match. Well done to EVERYONE. Jamie Macdonald, George Johnson, Luke Naylor and Sam Halliday great in defence with Emily doing great in midfield. Well deserved win. Well done to all.

    Mil Palmeras u8's. 4 V 2 Formentera

    Team Sponsor, Lesonja's Boarding Kennels.

This was a hard fought win against a very good Formentera side who never gave up. Some crisp passing by David Milton Stamm allowed Diego Sheffield in for his first goal again the passing movement up front was a joy to watch and Diego Sheffield added a further 3 goals with AJ and David Milton Stamm providing the assists. The visitors managed to pull one back to make the Half Time score 4-1. The second half saw once gain Alfred Emmett revert to his favourite left side of midfield but again the front three of Mil Palmeras worked hard trying to break down a stubborn Formentera defence.William Clayton should have added a 5th but again good defending by the visitors denied him. The Mil Palmeras defence of Paulo Webb, Tiandra Anderson and Ben "The Rock" Naylor stood firm as the visitors worked hard to try and pull this game back, and they added a 2nd, but Mil Palmeras stood strong. Final Score Mil Palmeras 4 Formentera 2, Player of the Match, Diego Sheffield, capped a fine performance with 4 well taken goals.

    Bigastro A 7 v 0 Mil Palmeras B

    Team Sponsor The Abbey Tavern

Mil Palmeras U8 B team lost away to a good Bigastro team. Bigastro set out to play some nice football but hadn't expected the Mil Palmeras energy and strength . With Diego Sheffield and Taylor Hirst making some quality stops in goal and Niomi Sheffield and Adam Pritchards' crunching tackles we didn't make it easy for them. Tiandra Anderson and Enrique Khomenko chased them around the midfield hustling them off the ball and with young Orlando Breeze nipping at there defender heels we may have lost but it wasn't as one sided as the result looks . Cracking effort put in by all players we just didn't make the most of our chances. Taylor Hirst got Player of the Match . Well done to everyone ..

    Bigastro 5 v 4 Mil Palmeras B U12's

    Team Sponsor: CAMFIX UK.

Mil Palmeras Alevin B took to the field against a Bigastro squad of 17 who were flying high at the top of the League. Asked to try out new tacticts for the game today, the effort put in by all players was outstanding . After a cautious start from both teams Bigastro took the lead, but it did not last for long as Jake Scott fired in a free kick to equalise. An injury to Sam Halliday saw Connor Hirst push forward to join the attack before he also had to depart after picking up a head injury. Then minutes before the half time break Emily Niamh Kelly picked the ball up deep inside her own half beat 3 Bigastro players and fired the ball high into the net giving Mil Palmeras a deserved half time 2-1 lead.
Bigastro came out strong for the 2nd half and soon made the score 2-2. Player of the Match Lucy Daly then produced an outstanding double save and from her quick release Rhys Gill slotted home a 3rd goal after a good cross from George Johnson, Harvey Worthington then grabbed another one in to give Mil Palmeras a 4-2 lead. Bigastro hit back with 2 quick goals, so 4-4 with a couple of minute's left. Jamie Macdonald remained strong and determined in defence not allowing anyone to pass. However Bigastro scored late on, with an goal that could of been given offside. Such a shame that a fantastic game just got away following the effort put in by all the Mil Palmeras team.Well Done Richard Kelly assistant Manager in his first full game.
