Mil Palmeras 2 - 4 Crevillente
Sponsor Coys Rent A Car Tel: 966 702 816.
Probably one of the best performances of the season from Mil Palmeras see a number of missed chances pass them by. Winger Charlie Hawes, started the ball rolling with a fine goal and low shot following a Kai Pickford Corner.
Charlie Haynes went close, and could of had a hat trick, but for some good goalkeeping. Crevillente were certainly lucky to take the 3 points, especially with the excellent partnership of Sam Halliday who was immense at the back alongside Captain Bradley Martin.
Debutant Karim Ferouli certainly added quality to the side, with Alex Morse in fine form. Kai Pickford added to his tally, following the cheekiest of goals. The referee had awarded a free kick and Kai placed the ball straight down and lobbed a stranded goalkeeper before he could blow his whistle.
Esteban missed a penalty, and the Crevillente Manager was sent off, for reasons unknown, but an amazing friendly and eventful match of which pleased the players and parents.
Mil Palmeras 3 - 6 Benijofar.
Sponsor: The Abbey Tavern & CMR Group SL.
Player of the Match Taylor Hirst played well, but Benijofar earned the 3 points through a striker who was on form.
David Milton Stamm got on the score sheet with a fine solo goal and Ben Naylor grabbed a deflected shot and a delightful low shot into the corner.. Benijofar were a little aggressive but that is part of football. Paolo Webb played in defence with Tiandra Anderson, and Diego Sheffield had a fine game in goal and up front. A long season for such young players but, the Tigers went home satisfied they played well.
Team Parent representative Claire added 'We are all proud of how the team is playing, keep it up tigers'.
