TONY'S SOCCER SCHOOL BEAT TOP OF THE LEAGUE.
ALBATERA 0 V 1 MIL PALMERAS U8'S
Albatera visited Mil Palmeras earlier in the season and beat Mil Palmers 8-0, a fine performance against top of the league side. However this time round was a different story. Mil Palmeras were under pressure, early on in the game. For the first 15 minutes we rarely threatened there goal, however on the 15 minute mark, Joe Justice drove forward and played the ball to Harry Williams who has now joined of junior strikers, costa blanca who still had plenty to do. He finally got his shot off, and tucked it in the corner.
Brandon Bickerdike was rarely troubled in goal but made a fantastic stop, in the first half to take them in at half time 1-0 up.
The second half got underway, and we though we would be under pressure, however we started the brightest. Good positional play from Orihuela Costa's Ben Naylor, and further breaks from Tom Jones helped to keep the lead. A few glimpses from Albatera and a few corners, put us under pressure, but we coped well. 2 Late free kicks from Luke Naylor from Los Dolses school orihuela costa, nearly doubled the score. However Mil palmeras held on to record Albatera's first loss of the season and securing our 4th straight win in a row.
Great managerial tactics allround showed we can compete, but hope not to get too carried away, now moving upto 8th in the league. A good sized crowd travelled to Albatera, the players were well supported and showed there appreciation to the large crowd at the end. 4 straight wins all won by a solitary goal, ensures our fans live on the edge of there seats.
